    Overview

Although parenting is something you cannot get from reading. But I am here to share my experience and advice on being a parent. I am going to discuss the kid’s development and habits. Most importantly I am going to share the problems that today’s generation is facing like late speech, Autism, and being picky and stubborn.

Challenges!! the biggest thing I have faced in these years. From getting pregnant to handling a toddler I think till the time we take our last breath we will always look back to our kids and try to teach them what is wrong or what is right. From making them potty train to watching them get married I think parenting overall is a great experience one should have.

No one is born the best we give our best to be one. Experiencing the pregnancy for the first time was something I will never forget and I think no one can. That heartbeat in your belly those kicks and that initial sickness OMG that feeling is out of the world. Once you get this straight that you have a little one inside, you start taking care of them from that time itself. Eating whatever they craved, and pucked whatever they didn’t like… Our lives began to revolve around them from that day itself. And yes the most important thing is we should use fewer gadgets as they emit RF radiation, which is a big NO for Fetal development.

    Food habits

    Parenting Challenges

A newborn will only pop, pee, sleep, and drink and yes will never let you sleep. But when it comes to the stage of crawling, I think we all should buckle up and put all the sharp and harmful things away from the reach of babies. Feed them with proper nutrition, I used to give my daughter one fruit a day to check if she had any allergies to any fruit or not. Try to give them boiled vegetables or vegetable soups, or a boiled egg too! Once they start developing taste they will automatically start loving the food you will provide them initially.

I think when kids start eating we should introduce different tastes to them so that in future they can eat everything and don’t become choosy. My baby girl eats all vegetables and Fruit yes definitely she doesn’t eat Kiwi or orange if it is sour. If she is not in mood she wouldn’t eat even her favorite fruit.

    Speaking Struggles and being stubborn

Coming to the speaking part as I see nowadays kids are more introverted and don’t speak till the age of 4 or more and some kids even face the challenges of being Autistic Which we will discuss later. It is not in our hands if the kid is facing such kind of issues but yes we can try to ease or fix it. I think we should interact more with our kids and talk to them more often rather than giving them phones or tablets we should give them books with lots of pictures or radio with rhymes in it. Also whatever we will speak they will repeat, so we should choose our words very carefully. Because kids will reflect your image in the world.

As I see in my surroundings most people live alone and are working, 70% of the parents have the same complaint of kids that either they are not talking or are facing autism. I think if parents can manage then one of them should start spending time with the kid, It makes a huge difference. Because we are earning for our kids right!! We used to work full time and we decided that I would quit the job and he would take care of the house financially and I would take care of my little one, Although we live in a joint family. Once she learns things on her own I will rejoin and yes I rejoined.

As I told you initially RF radiations are not good for fetus development so here I will say that again, it is not good for even a toddler’s brain development. As we see while working in the kitchen or doing any important office work we give kids phones or tablets which is I think a general procedure nowadays moms do! And it is okay if we limit the kid’s screen time. Also never raise your voice at kids or scold them, try to make them understand politely what is wrong and what is right. If we shout and scold them all the time they will become Stubborn and irritable.

    Autism Early diagnosis and symptoms

Coming to the part of Autism. It is very serious and one should not ignore it. Once you start seeing the symptoms I think you should immediately consult a pediatrician. It is something we can treat and it can go away with a good treatment. Symptoms may be detected in early childhood, but Autism is often not diagnosed until much later.

As per NHS.UK below are the symptoms of Atusim:-

    Autism in young children

Signs of autism in young children include:

    • Not responding to their name and avoiding eye contact
    • Not smiling when you smile at them
    • Repetitive movements, such as flapping their hands, flicking their fingers or rocking their body
    • Not talking as much as other children
    • Not doing as much pretend play
    • Repeating the same phrases, getting very upset if they do not like a certain taste, smell, or sound

    Autism in older children

Signs of autism in older children include:

    • Not responding to their name and avoiding eye contact
    • Unusual speech, such as repeating phrases and talking ‘at’ others
    • Liking a strict daily routine and getting very upset if it changes
    • Having a very keen interest in certain subjects or activities
    • Getting very upset if you ask them to do something
    • Finding it hard to make friends or preferring to be on their own
    • Taking things very literally – for example, they may not understand phrases like “break a leg
    • Finding it hard to say how they feel

We all wish that our children will remain healthy and happy and we can make them one. Please let us not ignore the kids and try to listen to what they say! If you feel your kid’s abnormal behavior, please talk to your doctor!
